What is the Fingerless Single Facer?

The fingerless single facer is another type of single facer machine offered by AGICO PAPER. This equipment is applied to the 3/5/7-ply corrugated board production line to produce single-face corrugated board.

The cassette single facer focuses on quick flute changes. In contrast, the fingerless single facer prioritizes stable forming performance and consistent board quality. Our equipment uses vacuum adsorption technology. Some models are equipped with an airflow control system to help keep the corrugating medium stable on corrugating rolls during the production process.

Fingerless Design

Why is it called the fingerless corrugation machine? That’s because it uses a different forming structure from traditional single facers. It removes the pressure fingers to reduce friction during operation and improve forming stability.

Vacuum Adsorption Control

This technology provides a more stable control method for the corrugating medium. By using negative pressure, it helps the corrugating medium closely connect with the corrugating rolls and achieves stable forming performance during high-speed operation.

Airflow Control

Some of our equipment models are equipped with an airflow control system. It can adjust the suction force to maintain stable control of the corrugating medium and improve board quality.

How Does a Fingerless Single Facer Machine Work?

The fingerless corrugation machine uses a vacuum adsorption system to help the corrugating medium maintain close contact with the corrugating rolls during operation.

Paper Holding by Vacuum Adsorption

When the corrugating medium enters the corrugating roll area, the vacuum holes on the rolls create a suction force to hold the medium on the roll surface. It then moves smoothly with the corrugating rolls.

Corrugating Formation

After the corrugating medium enters the forming area, the upper and lower corrugating rolls work together through precise flute profiles to form a continuous corrugated shape.

Gluing and Bonding

After forming, the corrugating medium passes through the glue application unit. It bonds with the linerboard under the pressure roll, forming continuous single-face corrugated board.

Pneumatic Control System

The upper corrugating roll, pressure roll, and lifting glue roll all use pneumatic control to achieve stable pressure adjustment.

High-Quality Corrugating Rolls

Our corrugating rolls are made of high-quality 52CrMo alloy steel. They undergo heat treatment and surface grinding processes. The hardness reaches HRC 58-60.

Automatic Glue Circulation System

The gluing application unit uses an automatic glue circulation system and is equipped with an engraved and chrome-plated glue roll.

Independent Glue Unit Operation

This gluing application unit also supports independent operation when the main machine stops. The main motor uses variable frequency control.
