How a Corrugating Line Works

Corrugated board is made by a corrugator machine in a corrugated board production line.

corrugated cardboard production line working process
01

1. Mill Roll Stand Feeding

The raw paper roll is put on the mill roll stand, and the paper is continuously supplied to the corrugated board production line.

02

2. Preheating Treatment

The paper goes through the preheater to adjust its temperature and moisture before corrugating.

03

3. Corrugating and Pressing

The corrugating medium passes through the corrugating rolls in the single facer to form flutes. The single facer applies adhesive and bonds the fluted medium to the liner paper, forming single-face corrugated board.

04

4. Gluing, Hot Pressing and Bonding

The single-face corrugated board passes through the corrugator bridge and enters the gluing machine. The gluing machine applies adhesive evenly to the flute tips. The board then enters the double facer, where it is bonded with liner paper under heat and pressure to form finished corrugated board.

05

5. Slitting and Scoring

The slitter scorer machine slits the corrugated board to the required width and makes score lines for later carton forming.

06

6. NC Cut-off Machine Cutting

The NC cut-off machine cuts the corrugated board to the required length.

07

7. Stacking and Output

The automatic stacker machine collects and stacks finished boards for delivery.
