AGICO PAPER's machine coordinates feeding, die-cutting, waste stripping, and other processes through its control system. This reduces manual intervention and keeps the production process running smoothly.

Automatic Die-Cutting for Corrugated Box Production.
An automatic flatbed die cutting machine is a heavy-duty corrugated box die cutter designed for precise cutting and creasing. It is mainly used for die-cutting and creasing in corrugated box production. Flatbed die cutting machines are available in automatic and semi-automatic models. Unlike rotary die cutters that use a rotating cylinder for continuous processing, a flatbed die cutting machine uses a flat cutting die and a platen to cut and crease corrugated board.
AGICO PAPER offers automatic flatbed die cutting machines that can process different flute types of corrugated board, such as A, B, C, and E flutes. Other board thicknesses and processing sizes depend on the machine model. By changing the cutting die, the machine can produce corrugated box blanks with tuck flaps, locking tabs, and handle holes. AGICO PAPER’s machine is suitable for producing blanks for e-commerce shipping boxes and protective packaging inserts.
The normal operation of an automatic flatbed die-cutting machine relies on the coordinated operation of its different mechanisms. The different mechanisms work together under the control system to feed, die-cut, strip waste from, and deliver corrugated board for box production.

Leading Edge Feeding Section
The corrugated board feeding platform uses an anti-scratch design to reduce scratches and is suitable for corrugated board with a printed or laminated surface. An independent servo motor provides power, while rubber feed wheels and suction adjustment help feed corrugated board of different thicknesses.

Feeding and Die-Cutting Section
Our equipment uses a rotary plate changer for easy die-cutting plate installation and adjustment. The pneumatic plate locking system works with the safety beam and locking nut design to secure the die-cutting plate more firmly. The die-cutting plate is made of 75Cr1 steel, which offers good wear resistance.

Waste Stripping Section
As a fully automatic die cutter with stripping, AGICO PAPER's waste stripping system uses a double-layer moving frame with male and female stripping plates to separate die-cut waste from the corrugated board. The machine also includes a gripper-edge waste removal mechanism to remove waste from the gripper edge and other board edges.

Delivery Section
After die-cutting and waste stripping, the delivery section collects and stacks the finished corrugated board blanks. The lifting platform adjusts to the stacking height, helping maintain an orderly delivery process.

Main Machine Section
The main machine uses a ductile iron structure to withstand die-cutting pressure. Our machine is also equipped with an automatic centralized lubrication system to lubricate the main drive mechanism.

Drive System
The gripper bars are made of high-strength aluminum alloy profiles. Their surfaces are anodized to meet the requirements for structural rigidity and lightweight design. The main chains are supplied by RENOLD in the UK or IWIS in Germany and offer good resistance to stretching.

Electrical System
Using a Siemens variable-speed main motor and a Fuji inverter, the machine provides stable and reliable power. The HMI displays operating conditions in real time. When a fault occurs, the system sounds an alarm through a multi-tone buzzer.
The automatic flatbed die-cutting machine uses a flatbed design for both the die-cutting platen and cutting mechanism. The die-cutting plate is fixed on the platen, and the corrugated board enters the die-cutting area.
During operation, the die-cutting platen remains fixed. The pressing platen moves back and forth, driven by a crank-and-link mechanism. Each pressing cycle completes one die-cutting operation.
The production process:
1. Automatic Feeding
The operator places the corrugated boards on the feeding platform. The leading-edge feeder feeds the boards into the machine according to the set parameters.
2. Conveying and Positioning
After entering the feeding system, the boards are aligned and held by the gripper bars. The gripper bars carry them to the die-cutting station for processing.
3. Flatbed Die-Cutting
After the board enters the die-cutting area, the flat die and pressing platen work together to apply pressure. The machine cuts the board to the designed shape, creates holes, and forms crease lines according to the die layout.
4. Automatic Waste Stripping
The die-cut boards move to the waste stripping station. The upper and lower stripping plates work together to separate die-cut waste from the finished board blanks.
5. Finished Board Delivery
The delivery system arranges and stacks the corrugated board blanks after waste stripping. The finished box blanks can then move to the next production stage, such as folding, gluing, or stitching.
Automatic Operation
AGICO PAPER's machine coordinates feeding, die-cutting, waste stripping, and other processes through its control system. This reduces manual intervention and keeps the production process running smoothly.
Accurate Die-Cutting
The servo feeding system, board positioning system, and gripper bar mechanism work together to control the board's position at the die-cutting station. This helps reduce die-cutting errors and meet different requirements for cutting and creasing corrugated boxes.
Easy Die Change
Thanks to the rotary die-changing device, pneumatic plate locking system, and air-floating device, operators can easily install, change, and adjust the die-cutting plate. This reduces die changeover time between different box orders.

For corrugated box plants that need continuous, high-volume production, an automatic flatbed die-cutting machine is usually a better choice. However, some customers have a limited initial investment budget and low order volumes. If they can accept some manual operation, a semi-automatic flatbed die-cutting machine is also worth considering.
AGICO PAPER also offers semi-automatic flatbed die-cutting machines. Customers can choose the right machine according to their actual production needs. If you need more product information, you are welcome to contact us.
