NC Cut-off Machine for Corrugated Board

Cross-cutting, synchronized with the board.

High-speed corrugated board NC cut-off machine

Precision at the dry end

The NC cut-off machine is an important machine on the dry end of the corrugated board production line. It is primarily installed between the slitter-scorer and the stacker machine. Based on the preset sheet length, the machine cuts the continuously conveyed corrugated board crosswise, preparing it for the subsequent carton-making process. AGICO PAPER NC cut-off machine uses a PLC control system and a servo drive, ensuring precise, stable cutting. We also offer NC cutter machines with varying production speeds to meet diverse needs.

If you want to buy a new corrugator line or replace the old cut-off machine, you can learn about the AGICO PAPER NC cut-off machine. We can give you the right solution based on your cardboard specifications, production speed, and capacity requirements.

NC Cut-off Machine Configurations

According to the production speed and output requirements of the corrugated board line, AGICO PAPER offers single-knife and double-knife NC cut-off machines, with different models available to match different production speeds.

Single-Knife Cut-off Machine

The single-knife cut-off machine uses a single-knife cutting configuration. It is suitable for standard corrugated board production needs. According to the running speed of the production line, you can choose different speed options, such as 100 m/min, 150 m/min, and 250 m/min. The machine maintains stable continuous production while ensuring cutting accuracy.

Speed Options

In addition to those single-knife and double-knife configurations, the NC cutter machine can also be selected based on the production speed.

Design Speed Suitable For
100 m/min Lower-speed production lines
150 m/min Medium-speed production lines
250 m/min High-speed production lines

Working Principle of NC Cut-off Machine

By learning the machine's working principle, you can better understand how it maintains smooth cuts and accurate sheet dimensions at high speeds. The process can be divided into four steps.

  1. Corrugated Board Infeed

After the corrugated board comes out of the thin blade slitter-scorer, it passes through the infeed mechanism and continuously enters the cut-off machine, maintaining a stable conveying process.

2. Speed and Length Detection

Then, the control system automatically adjusts the cutting process based on the preset sheet length and production speed. It tracks the board speed to keep cutting synchronized with the production line.

3. Cross Cutting

The servo system drives the knife shaft to cut the board crosswise at the preset position. The helical knife design works together with the precision transmission. This makes the cutting process smoother and maintains stable cutting quality.

4. Corrugated Board Output

The cut sheets are conveyed by the outfeed belt and smoothly transferred to the stacker for subsequent collection and stacking.

Advantages of the NC Cutter Machine

High-Precision Cutting

AGICO PAPER NC cutter machine uses PLC control and a servo drive. It can automatically adjust the cutting process according to the board conveying speed. When cutting at a constant speed, the machine’s cutting accuracy can reach ±1 mm. This helps reduce board size deviation.

Helical Knife Shaft Cutting

Our machine uses the helical knife design to cut the board crosswise in a shearing-like way. The precision knife shaft and transmission system help reduce resistance during cutting. This makes the cutting process smoother and keeps clean cutting edges.

Stable Transmission System

The transmission system uses high-precision, high-rigidity ground gears and a lubrication system to ensure stable knife shaft operation. This precision mechanical structure helps you maintain consistent cutting accuracy during long-term continuous production.

Easy Order Management

Different orders require different cutting lengths. You can save commonly used settings on the touch screen, with up to 200 order groups stored. When changing orders, you can quickly recall the corresponding settings, reducing manual adjustment time and making production changeovers easier.
